Manchester’s Agent appoints North West communications agency to promote its Sugar Summit
Firework PR has been appointed by Agent, the Manchester-based brand agency which takes the innovative direct engagement approach with consumers to provide real-life foresight for business. The appointment comes ahead of Agent’s forthcoming ‘Sugar Summit’ next month, an event for brand owners, marketeers, and insight and innovation experts on this controversial subject.
“We have chosen Firework to help us promote the Agent brand, but also to raise national awareness of our Sugar Summit event which will be the first of event of its kind to explore this controversial subject for brand owners, marketeers and innovation experts,” commented Lynne Barcoe, Director, Agent.
Agent was founded last October by brand strategist and innovation expert Alfie Sim; real-life marketing and insight specialist and founder of acclaimed MumPanel, Lynne Barcoe; and creative thinker and writer Paul Coleman – who along with Tim Reid, penned the hugely popular BBC 1 ‘Car Share’ series starring comedian Peter Kay, which aired in April.
Between them, the team has worked with some of the biggest UK household names – including Heinz, Nike, PlayStation, Christian Aid, PepsiCo, the British Council, Bauer and The Woodland Trust – and has innovated new format ideas for X Factor and Got Talent for Syco/Freemantle.
Said Clare Wall, Director of Firework PR: “We’re excited to have been chosen to represent Agent and to drive national awareness of their achievements to date. With consumer food and drink brands grappling with the sugar issue and how to future-proof their product ranges to meet the changing needs of their customers, the Sugar Summit is a great event for us to be involved in given our experience in this area. Agent also has ambitious plans for the future, which we’re looking forward to promoting.”
Agent is to host an event for brand owners, marketeers, and insight and innovation experts on this controversial topic. The Sugar Summit will take place in central Manchester on 16th September 2015 from 14.00 until 17.00 at the Urbis Building M4 3BG and will be followed by early evening drinks. The event is free and open to all those involved in the management of brands developing products that contain sugar and will deliver the insight from the key audiences that influences brand strategy.
