Firework PR has been appointed to spearhead sports loyalty company Rewards4’s brand development and messaging, supported by an ongoing PR campaign, as part of its ambitious growth plans for 2017 and beyond. The company has experienced a continual period of growth, establishing it as the leading technology platform for sports clubs and venues to reward supporter loyalty. Rewards4 has decided the time is now ripe to expand with a stand-out brand messaging and communications strategy.
Rewards4 offers sports clubs, venues and organisations the ability to reward the loyalty of their fans and supporters, helping its partners attract, engage with and retain fans whilst driving additional revenues. It has developed an innovative data-driven rewards and loyalty platform that enables fans to turn their everyday retail and betting spend into points which can be used to gain a discount at their preferred sports venue or club. Rewards4 currently operates rewards programmes in racing, cricket, rugby and golf with notable customers including The Jockey Club, Saracens and Hampshire Cricket. These programmes have attracted almost two million sports-loving members to date.
Tom Cowgill, co-founder and director at Rewards4, said: “We’ve had incredible success in establishing our offering with partners in golf, racing, cricket and rugby with a number of clubs and courses being aware of our brand and using our services. However, we know that there is an appetite for our approach among many more clubs and sports organisations as well as in other sectors of sport, such as football, and we want to tap into this opportunity. We’ve seen Firework PR operate with other clients in the sports arena and we know they have the right blend of communications expertise with an in-depth knowledge of and network within both the sports and technology industries – quite a unique mix. This made them the perfect partner for us.”
Andrea Hounsham, co-founder and director at Firework PR, commented: “We love finding really successful companies that remain a hidden secret in new target markets. Having met Tom and Ian, we quickly recognised the communications opportunity with Rewards4. It proved the ideal time to review its brand positioning prior to the launch of its new website, ensuring it translates into the right messages that both resonate and stand out across sports. Proactive PR will now help raise further awareness of the brand. Rewards4 has an incredibly loyal base of customers and we know that these can also help spread the message in a very credible and impactful manner.”
An initial project focused on an analysis of the company’s brand positioning, creation of corporate messages and content development. This will now be followed by the implementation of an awareness raising proactive media and influencer relations strategy. Firework will work alongside the leadership and marketing teams to align all communications to its new business priorities.
Founded in 2012 by ex-London PR Directors, Andrea Hounsham and Clare Wall, Firework PR offers creative and focused PR communications consultancy with a flexible, cost-effective approach.
