Firework PR nominated for CIPR Pride Award

Best Use of Event – Creating Advocacy at the CBI Conference for Advanced

Firework PR has been short-list for the prestigious CIPR North West Pride Award for Best Use of Event. The short-list was secured for the successful communications plan carried out for its client, Advanced, at the CBI Conference in November 2016. The technology firm, which is the third largest software and services supplier in the UK, achieved positive coverage reaching a target audience of nearly 23 million.

Following its major transformation programme, Advanced wanted to raise its profile amongst UK business and technology decision makers. Firework PR used the company’s sponsorship of the CBI Conference as a platform to reach senior business decision makers, underpinned by an integrated communications programme. The main thrust of the campaign was the development of an inaugural research based Trends Report, which was successfully launched at the event. Highlights included broadcast interviews on ITN News, BBC News 24 and BBC Radio 5 Live.

“It’s exciting when a creative PR plan comes to fruition and achieves excellent results for our clients. The CBI event proved to be an ideal platform for the launch of the Trends Report and Advanced was extremely pleased with the results. To have this recognised by one of the PR industry’s most influential bodies is an accolade for the joint work carried with the marketing team at Advanced and we are really proud to have achieved this,” commented Andrea Hounsham, director and co-owner at Firework PR, who leads the Advanced campaign.

Firework PR has worked with Advanced for over five years and is responsible for managing its thought leadership focused PR as well as a range of content and influencer campaigns. The company was the agency’s second client following its start in 2012 and Firework PR has established a strong partnership with the team at Advanced. The award winner will be announced on the 4th November.
